i know this has absolutely nothing to do with my life but

American Presidential Elections 2008

entering the white-hot stage.

observing the progress of the elections on tv is really enlightening. america, the epitome, the advocate, the (in my view) absolute symbol of true democracy. democracy in its purest form. okay i know there's much discrimination and other indecent stuff going on in usa. but the democracy and freedom that exists in the Land of the Free is sthg that all nations should really learn from. i mean, i do so admire the action going on in the states right now. the debates and intelligent exchange of words, the witty acts, the upbeat commotion, and the mentality of going all out to win votes. that's what true democracy is all about isnt it? to win votes. power of the people. to do nothing but your absolute best in order to win the hearts of the ppl you yearn to serve.

gee. starkly different from the chaotic democracy in taiwan (can you even call it democracy? scandals, clownish antics and frequent fights in parliament.....), seemingly non-existent "democracy" in pakistan and, to cite an eg closer to home, the boring ol' (may i say stifling?) paternalistic, draconian democracy right here in singapore.

been having driving lessons lately. i like my instructor so very much! he's super nice! but once i get a job, my lesson times will change and he'll no longer be teaching me. :( :( he's like super super nice lah.
